The project in a few words
#ESCalate: Hype to Action was created as a response to a common challenge faced by many young people after completing a European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering experience. While ex-volunteers often return highly motivated and with strong competences such as leadership, initiative, adaptability, and teamwork, they frequently struggle to translate these skills into professional opportunities or to remain actively engaged in the youth work sector.
The project aims exchange good practices on how to support ESC alumni to continue their involvement in non-formal education and youth work,
supporting their transition from volunteering to more professional or long-term roles in the field.
This TC will empower you with practical tools and mentoring methodologies through a peer-learning opportunity in which if one of you will be both the
learner and the facilitator.
Main Objectives
The TC will include 3–4 non-formal learning sessions per day and will be co-developed together with the participants.
For this reason, participants will be expected to take an ACTIVE ROLE: working in small teams, they will co-design and facilitate at least one activity during the Training Course, based on their own experience, methods, and interests. In addition, they will also have the opportunity to share their own activities/workshops, if they wish (though this is entirely optional).
To support this process, BreGal will organise a preparatory online meeting once the group is formed, in order to create the working teams, distribute tasks, and ensure everyone feels confident and prepared. Also, BreGal will provide examples and extra support if needed.
This approach will guarantee a genuine exchange of good practices and mentoring methodologies, making the training a truly peer-led and collaborative learning experience.
