The project in a few words

Boost the Buzz was a one-week Training course for youth workers, which aimed to address the need for new methods in the area of post-project mentoring and
offers a Hub of mentors and youthworkers to share their skills and best practices, a place of skill-sharing and peer-to-peer learning.
Results of the project were new developed guidelines and methods for an effective (post-project-mentoring) for volunteers, as well as a network of
mentors that provide exchange and support even after the project’s end.

From the outset of this initiative, the intention was to develop a project that stood apart through its collaborative and inclusive approach. An ambitious objective was set: to bring together a wide network of partners and youth workers in a shared process of learning, exchanging methodologies, and strengthening professional practices.

Although the scope of this goal presented significant challenges, the commitment to exploring new ways of working proved highly rewarding. The #BtB project has evolved into a meaningful and impactful experience, contributing to both personal and professional development for all participants. It fostered the expansion of knowledge, the creation of new connections, and the emergence of fresh perspectives.

The opportunity to collaborate with dedicated and experienced professionals has been particularly valuable. Throughout the project, participants engaged in collective reflection, co-creation, and constructive dialogue, generating a dynamic environment for collaboration and innovation. The continuity of relationships, the quality of the contributions, and the shared commitment to advancing youth work have made this process especially significant.

Main Objectives

1. Identifying current problems and challenges in post-project mentoring and maintaining the engagement of young people after their return from non-formal education learning mobilities.
2. Creation of various tools for youth workers with new, attractive methods for post-project mentoring of the young people they mentor.
3. Knowledge exchange and peer-to-peer learning between youth workers on the topic of post-project mentoring
4. Establishing a network of mentors in which they can discuss challenges. The aim is to maintain this network after the end of the project.
