The project in a few words

The “PIRATE(S)” project was a 7-day training course organized by Lunaria in Orvieto (Italy) in June 2023, focused on developing tools and working methods, among facilitators and trainers, to further promote the active participation of young people and those more at risk of exclusion.

The project was an Advanced Training for Trainers – AT4Ts, conceived to boost trainers’ capacities, to share, test and upgrade methodologies and approaches in non-formal education. Therefore, trainers and facilitators involved actively participated in developing most of the TC sessions, in a horizontal way, being in the same time, facilitators and participants.

Objectives of the project

The main objectives of the project were to share the existing methods and approaches participants are using in their work to reflect upon learning and different pedagogical approaches to enhance the active participation of young people to develop innovative methods and workshops, experimenting and upgrading the methodologies on site.
