The project in a few words

“Bridgedale: beyond the story of a crisis” is a Training Course organized in Zaježová, Slovakia by a group of trainers and facilitators belonging to the Global Ecovillage Network. The project is focused on exploring experiential learning methods – games, plays, stories, workshops – that can be used to help youth recognise, accept and navigate through the upcoming crises. Participants will practice to facilitate such activities, while getting immersed into the topics ourselves.

Bridgedale provides over 80 experiential activities, workshops and storytelling, with an overview of the present global system of social injustice and ecological challenges and practical tools for exercises and inspiration for change-making in social, environmental, economic and cultural dimensions of individual and collective life on Earth.

Main Objectives

  • To create awareness and knowledge about the topic of the ecological, social and economic crises that the humanity is facing,
  • To provide participants with a set of experiential tools to be used to work on the aforementioned topics,
  • To increase participants’ skills on non-formal facilitation,
  • To empower participants, encouraging them to be change-makers,
  • To raise awareness about sustainable practices,
  • To promote an open and safe environment where participants can share and learn from one other, and debate in a constructive and productive way in order to be enriched by such diversity,
  • To contribute towards a process where young and new generations of Europeans will have an active role in making Europe much more inclusive, accessible, and free from fear and prejudice.
