The project in a few words
‘Rainbow Project’ is a 9-day training course organized by Get Involved in Panichishte (Bulgaria) in September2023, focused on boosting social inclusion among youth by using theater practice.
During the project, a specific tool based on the theater practices of storytelling, acting and devised theatre will be implemented. Youth workers will be asked to explore the life stories of marginalized personalities whom they admire in order to create a theater performance based on their stories of marginalization
Main Objectives
- To increase the youth workers’ skills by providing them new tools and methodologies
- To raise awareness among young people on social inclusion and diversity, using theatre techniques
- To develop tools and working methods, among youth workers, educators and group leaders, to boost social inclusion
- To empower young people and encourage them to take an active role in society
- To develop cooperation and teamwork skills
- To promote self-awareness and soft-skills learning
Who can apply?
Youngsters who are at least 20 years old that…
- … have experience working with young people or with performing arts
- … are fluent in English as a working language (being able to understand and communicate in English for the entire project)
- … can commit to attending to the project for its full duration
- … are proactive and willing to learn more about the topic
- … are residing in Germany
- … We encourage the participation of participants with fewer opportunities. (Participants with fewer opportunities will be prioritised.)
Hosting Organisation
Get Involved is a Bulgarian non-profit organization engaged in different youth and education-related activities in Bulgaria. It has been registered as a formal non-profit organisation in 2017 and until then it has been operating as a non-formal youth group, supporting and initiating different events and initiatives, and working on a number of projects as a partner or a volunteer.
The Association actively cooperates to enhance and foster Bulgarian education and culture, supporting their effective and dynamic development, incorporating all good practices and examples established by other and more developed countries.
