The project in a few words
‘Green Footprint’ was a 10-day youth exchange organized by Associazione Kora in Passignano sul Trasimeno (Italy) in April 2023, focused on the topic of food choices and their environmental consequences.
The project’s objective was to open a discussion on the consequences of food choices on the environment and think about what we can do as individuals and as a society to decrease our impact on the environment.
Objectives of the project
During the youth exchange, the project achieved the following goals:

- Promoted healthy nutrition
- Increased knowledge about the food’s field-to-table production process
- Raised awareness about the impact of food choices on the environment and promote the decreasing of the individual ecological food print
- Offered to youngsters the chance of a learning multicultural experience
- Learnt more about different diets and the ideologies behind those
- Promoted inclusion and broke cultural barriers.

The results
During the project, participants organized a dissemination event in the project’s location, Fattoria Scuola La Buona Terra (Passignano sul Trasimeno), where they could share with the local community different dishes which they prepared after a series of workshops, and different activities connected to raising awareness about sustainability and the effects of food choices in the planet.

Hosting Organisation
Associazione Kora was founded in August 2015 to promote social and cultural awareness for its members (mainly youth) through outdoor life, socialisation opportunities, nutrition and sustainability. Kora is situated in Passignano sul Trasimeno in the educational farm “La Buona Terra”, where it collaborates with other entities who have their activities on the farm. Kora was founded to offer activities that neither the cooperative nor the agricultural company can carry out.
