Nic’s story of the Youth Exchange ‘Green and Fair’!
Nic took part as a German participant in the Youth Exchange ‘Green and Fair’ organized by Associazione Kora in Passignano sul Trasimeno, Italy in February 2023
The project ‘Green and Fair’ was my fourth and most impactful project.
I was immediately amazed by the beautiful farm of Kora which was the perfect place to let such a green-focused project happen. It helped me to feel like having a comfort zone even though I was far away from “home”.
The German, Spanish, Hungarian, Italian, and Estonian participants were all beautiful individual people who bonded through the tasks of the projects in a blink of an eye. Right now on the 27th of February, it’s more than a week since the project ended and I’m still almost daily in contact with my friends I met there.
The open-mindedness of everyone helped so much to dive into complex and really heated-up topics, where not everyone is always agreeable but always respectful and tolerant. Through the project, I learned a lot about the causes of the main problem of humanity. The seemingly unstoppable climate change.
Yes, seemingly.
The project helped me to manifest that change begins within yourself.
Rich in perspectives, I gained an overview of the solutions we can work on to achieve certain goals for the future.
The project helped me to manifest that change begins within yourself. If it’s your diet or just the healthy way of taking the bike to get from one to another place. It starts with you.
It starts with you speaking up and spreading the word. Soon you realize it’s not only your voice, it becomes a voice that has the power to influence the economy, the industry, and the governments’ decisions.
Overall I feel like Erasmus+ helps me to be and find my pure self in addition to connecting with open-minded people through non-formal education. Discuss and find contemporary solutions for a better living on earth, with nature, other living beings, and especially yourself.
Keep up and dream on!
