The project in a few words

ACMIT was a 6-day training course organized by FOCO in which 20 youth workers from 9 different European countries came together in A Guarda (Spain) in October 2022 to explore how the Theory of Multiple Intelligences can be used to guide young people to assess their own competences using non-formal and theatrical activities.

The participants experienced the activities proposed and discovered their own performance in the 8 areas described by the Multiple Intelligences theory outlined by Howard Gardner. The implemented activities were not only experienced, but they also learnt tips and techniques that can help them implement these activities with their groups of young people.

Objectives of the project

During the training, the project achieved the following goals:

        • Provided youth workers with new methods which can be used in their daily work with youth groups,
        • Participants explored the Theory of Multiple Intelligences which can be used to guide young people to assess their own competencies using non-formal and theatrical activities
        • Improved the skills of the youth workers involved.
